Today marks the last day of MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) at Carruthers Creek Community Church up in Ajax. I've been attending since the late fall (after Isaiah's birth) and it was a great experience for me. I was encouraged to come check it out through some good friends who attend the church. Although I don't go to Carruthers Creek they do welcome everyone, and really its a friendly group of ladies :)
This past year at MOPS there were some dynamic speakers that really challenged and encouraged me. There were also some very fun topics such as starting up your own business from Dave Powell. He is a wealth of knowledge and I thoroughly enjoyed his teaching time. I loved when Joanna came in around the holidays to teach us about making some really yummy appetizers. We got to sample some amazing mouth watering recipes. I also recall Beth speaking about the Vision of Mothering which was an excellent topic that spoke to me and encouraged me greatly. And I remember Leanne speaking too about prayer (another amazing time of sharing and speaking that really hit home and challenged me too - in a good way:)
To all the MOPS workers, thank you for giving of your time. Its a BIG job and you all do it so gracefully.
If your wanting to check out MOPS at Carruthers Creek, be sure to come to the Fall kickoff on Wednesday September 21st, 2011 at 9:30am. Its going to be another great year of dynamic speakers, great teachings, and some amazing snacks:)
