My Mothers Day :)

I do realize that mothers day was 5 days ago, but this is the only time that I can actually sit down and write about it :)

This year I celebrated my first official mothers day. We celebrated a little last year when I was pregnant, but its so great to celebrate it when you actually get to see your baby on the outside. I was spoiled. My husband made me breakfast and gave me a wonderful card and a lovely new guess wallet. I needed a new wallet desperately. My old one was really, really old and looking quite bad. He did a great job. My nephews bought me earrings and a necklace (totally wasn't expecting that). Its so nice. And my family got me a devotional and some $$$ (always a great gift :) We spent the day going to church and then visiting family and eating, eating, and more eating.

All and all, I had a lovely day. I've gotta admit that when people would wish me a happy mothers day, I would feel a little weird. I guess I'm still adjusting to this new title of "mom." I still can't believe that I'm a mom to our amazing little boy Isaiah Eli. He's really a blessing and so sweet - and thankfully taking a morning nap as I write this blog.

I hope all of you moms had a great day. We are truly blessed to be moms and to be on this journey. Its scary at times, overwhelming, but then there are those days when its so much fun and you want to stop time to cherish the moment. Lets enjoy and rejoice in the blessings which we have been given from our Great and Awesome God!
